
Try this proper old school rice pudding - if you are of a certain age it will take you right back to your schooldays.

Heat your oven to 130° Celsius (266° Fahrenheit) for a fan/convection/airfryer oven, or 150° Celsius (302° Fahrenheit) for a conventional one, or gas 2. Put the casserole dish in, uncovered, on the middle shelf. Bake for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Eat.
180 grams short-grain rice
410 grams evaporated milk
750 ml milk
40 grams granulated sugar
1 whole nutmeg
40 grams butter
small handful raisins or sultanas (optional)
